Description : Roles and Responsibilities

• Recommends and establishes appropriate information technology systems and processes for the Group Office and divisions, evaluates deployed technology to ensure compatibility and effectiveness in meeting the requirements of the group
• Provides in addressing a wide range of problems involving – network architecture; process flow automation; hardware and software; server administration; wireless networking; and information management
• Develops policies and procedures for information technology acquisition and utilization
• Provides technical assistance to the Group Office and divisions as needed
• Provides technical support to Group Head, Support Services in design and implementation of information technology platforms in line with the group’s operating strategy
• Monitors and administers the existing interconnected systems across the enterprise network for the group office and divisions
• Monitors and manages systems – gateway devices (routers, switches, firewalls and WLAN systems) and the server systems (the network server, e-mail server ISA server and database) for the group office and divisions
• Manages the disaster recovery process, maintains employee/user profiles and accounts, documents network architecture and configuration parameters for the group office and divisions
• Manages information technology support functions and reviews/recommends appropriate alternative system options
• Provides technical support to the Group Head, Support Services in drafting policies, procedures and standards for the group and its operating companiesKey Performance Indicators
• Adequacy and efficiency of technology infrastructure to support the group’s operations
• Availability of IT resources• Development and deployment of a process flow infrastructure
• Level of automation of all processes within the CK Group
• Level of compliance to cost budget for deploying and maintaining IT infrastructure throughout the group network
• Cost optimisation on IT assets and infrastructure through effective SLAs with third-party IT product and service providersWorking knowledge, skills and competencies and attributes
• Strong technical skills with the ability to address a wide range of problems including – networking architecture; hardware and software; server administration; wireless networking; and information management
• Demonstrated competence in the management of a wide range of transmission and networking systems
• Strong skills in maintaining ‘down time’ and providing efficient and reliable resources
• Excellent skills in ensuring the security and stability of the group’s IT infrastructure at all times
• Demonstrated experience in streamlining and automating IT tasks such as networking monitoring, helpdesk functions, or computer deployment
• Demonstrated competence in the following software environments: Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2000 Server,Windows XP Professional, SQL Server 2005, Vista, Veritas Backup Exec, Exchange 2003, etc.
• Experience in monitoring and managing network using appropriate network administration tools.
• Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• String team interaction, support and leadership skills
• Good project management skills

Qualifications : Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, electrical engineering or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years of high level experience in an enterprise IT environment dealing with systems distributed over multiple sites
• Relevant certification in at least on of the following Professional Certifications- MCSE, CCNA/P, CCDA/P
