    Description : Roles and Responsibilities
    • Defines human resources (HR) policies for the group office and provides supports to the Group Head, Support Services in setting standards for the divisions;
    • Defines and implements best practice HR processes and procedures for the group office;
    • Provides HR consulting support to divisions;
    • Develops and maintains the HR policy frame work and ensures its implementation;
    • Positions the HR unit as a strategic partner in management decision making;
    • Performs adequate manpower planning for the group;
    • Facilitates the recruitment and career management of senior level executives for the group;
    • Overall direction setting of training and development needs for members of staff of the group;
    • Guides and champions career development across the group;
    • Manages the compensation and benefits administration including payroll processing for the group (if necessary) using a centralised technological platform;
    • Manages employee performance within the group and divisions;
    • Develops strategies and frameworks for managing the entire workforce of the group;
    • Champions HR projects to enhance employee relations across the group
    • Primarily responsible for managing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
    Key Performance Indicators
    • Level of staff turnover within the group compared to the industry
    • Level of staff satisfaction across the group
    • Employees clarity on role, responsibilities and expectations
    • Level of dedication and motivation of members of staff in the group and divisions
    • Timeliness in filling vacancies
    • Quality of staff training/development programs and the number of staff trained
    • Competitiveness of compensation structure for the grouping relation to the industry
    • Timely completion of periodic performance appraisals
    Working knowledge, skills and competencies and attributes
    • Attention to details and good organisational skills
    • Good understanding of HR issues
    • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
    • Good people management skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Qualifications : Qualifications and Experience
    • A good university degree or relevant professional qualification
    • A minimum of six(6) years of relevant experience in human resources/personnel management in a reputable organization
    • Additional post graduate qualification is an added advantage
