Being a celebrity doesn’t really have a proper definition.
Celebrity is a JOB………………
Celebs as said by ADMIN are people that matters in the society, maybe not to everyone but they are known one way or the other
My definition; celebs are news….period
Celebs are news you hear about them everyday and almost every time, they’re either good or bad
Believe me the Bad ones sell more than the Good ones,
The good ones are everybody’s’ favourites but they people hardly support them cause they’re cause are usually not everybody’s problem e.g. fighting against cancer and all that….not everybody suffers from cancer, but the bad guys go like starting a f***** up reality show about sex and money everybody buys in cause that’s what we love but we hate them still….

Celebs are respectable and as well most hated people in the society…
They’re in various works of life,

Politics (govt officials, executives, traditional leaders, social leaders, legal activist)

Entertainment industry (music, arts, movie, fashion, cosmetology, e.t.c)

Human welfare (philanthropist, social activist, medical practitioners)

Basically celebs are the most outstanding or the worst people in a particular field, who have the conscience of the public in heart, so they may be hated or loved but they are known cause they always wanted to do something for the public whether positive or negative…..ABACHA is a celeb, he’s rich, had one of the most respected post in this country and of cause popular and madam EKUNDAYO well most of you may not know her but she’s been serving all her life helping orphans in her region and so far the light is on her now (TY BELLO SANG A SONG FOR HER AND HER CAUSE “ EKUNDAYO” ), you’ll be making the list short if you think by mentioning our popular noise makers (musicians) , you know them already…. So add them to the list…… Eehen SAMUEL PETERS despite he got knocked out and ran away from the fight cos he couldn’t see again is a celeb….beaten or not….him enter record……LOL

Those are popular people. not celebrities.
Celebrities are celebrated and for you to be celebrated.
you must have done something positive.

thats not true oh... any body at all thats popular is a celebrity... otherwise, when formerly good people change their status and go bad, do they loose their gossip-worthiness in the eye of the public?....lol

Please, do not mix up being influential and being a celebrity.

Paris Hilton is a celebrity because there are some people that actually likes her. Yeah, she got popular because she is rich, but she still did some acting that got her noticed.

I'll have to admit you have some points there but I firmly believe that while celebrities are influential, not every influential person can be called a celebrity.

tonero is one i will accept that but the biggest here with the Achievement of creating a wonderful site like this is the BABA himself.............You know yourself now..........pretty boy floyd was not too known by appearance but was in the hall of fame of the most notorious and the same time most loved BANK ROBBERS........LOL

big time for real these guys were the bomb.........never in this world we're going to get robbers like these in naija.............no innocent victims just the government (who has always een the strongest villan in any movie be it fiction or reality)
