The Last Word Game
  • In this game, the next post must begin with the last word of the previous post and it must be one sentence. I will illustrate this in my next post here.
  • Here is an online abode where Nigerians all over the world meet to discuss general issues.
  • issues that face nigerians yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, hourly and most especially... by the minute!
    Candid expressiveness is key and objectiveness...needless to say is paramount! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
  • paramount in all ramification to the lives of nigerians at home and in the diaspora <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
  • diaspora-residing Nigerians should also contribute substantially to national development.
  • development on individual skills that in total helps increase the economy by creating wealthy Nigerians who in exchange will alleviate poverty through self employment..
  • employment still threathens the very assurance that the people have in their government, because it was one of the key constraints set out for the Yar'adua led government when it was campaigning for presidency last year!

    on a more serious note, what suggestions can we try to spool to assist the government in the dissipation of the 'dividends of democracy' in the genre of job creation?
  • Creation of a viable economy and infrastructure which will attracts foreign investors, this in turn will booster our economy and bring about employment for you and I.

    But having said that, even with the foreign investors already in Nigeria, they are here to exploit our weaken economy!
  • economy? to say we have an economy is a far cry from what we really have... a system of multiple faced ego maniacs who try to manipulate decrees and policies to boost their already over nutured interests! Need i remind you oh what happened to Ngozi Okonji-Iweala? God knows that woman was ready to bring change to this country, but she had grown wings for a certain old man who was levels higher than she was.... also, chukuma charles soludo whose drive for an economic revamp has caused him much pain and has met much resistance (especially from the inner caucus of the CBN itself)... (if you can lay your hands on correct info, you'd know what i mean- pm me if you want!)

    I know the main aim of this game is just to have a good first word and last word...lol.. but i feel the need to speak a bit (at least let me be as expressive as God has made me to be!...lol)

    Changing the mindset and orientation of the average nigerian towards government is not a task for the feeble hearted, but it must be done, and it should start from our Nigerianz.com forum!!!

    we need to both look outwardsly for opportunities for wealth creation and inwardly to discover God-imbibed talents and giftings that can translate into wealth.
  • wealth creation is anoda aspect nigerianz need 2 conerntrate on. we shud find ways of enrichin ourself n d country in general
  • General education on the need to be patriotic to our beloved country should also be undertaken.
  • Undertaken by the government. <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
  • Government that was installed by (s)Election. <!-- s:mrgreen: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":mrgreen:" title="Mr. Green" /><!-- s:mrgreen: -->
  • Elections were rigged at the 2007 polls in favour of PDP
  • PDP has dominated Nigerian politics by hook or crook since 1999.
  • 1999 marked the begining of the SHAM called democracy
  • demoracy? ve we really benefitted 4rm it? anyway sha its still beta dan military rule
  • rule by the military men is the same thing with what we have now, they just dropped their uniform thats all
  • all d same, democracy is still beta. its just dat we re still in d nuturing stage
  • stage? well we are improving <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> now we have freedom of speech
  • Speech? people have sacrifice their lives so that we can have it. This is the more reason we have to hold unto democracy by all mean so that their great sacrifice will not be in vain <!-- s:!: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_exclaim.gif" alt=":!:" title="Exclamation" /><!-- s:!: -->
  • vain as in deir effort has not yielded gud result? well whoever has fought 4 democracy shud not give up now. d struggle continues n victory is certain
  • certain 'dividends' of democracy which we have read about so much even to the point of fantacising about are still dreams to nigerians!

    look at what happened to 'channels tv' when they said our president would resin or what happened to 'the citizen' when it published certain "top secret" documents!

    Freedom of speech my lovely brown ass! (:D)you see, democracy at the stage we're working with is still a joke, because until the mentality of "i be president, na me get the country" dies, we're all just kidding ourselves...

    I love nigeria, i pray for nigeria, but if we keep up like this when 7 points on the agenda are done, another person would come and continue the assignment of ruling the Federal Republic of PDP - sorry, Nigeria!

  • Nigeria is a gr8 nation n although we re yet 2 c d dividends of democracy as fola rightly said, i strongly blieve dat soon it will materialise.
  • materialize the fantasy of hope, by the Nigerian youth is a fact that until we see the reason why we shouldn't earn as much as the president when we graduate from school and that being in government is not a sure way to quick riches then we can beat our chest that we are proud of this country till then, just keep the hope alive after all OBAMA did it too.............i hate this thread
  • thread did u nothing, rather our government is taking us for granted. Action is not taken where and when necessarily needed, thereby ruining the nation socially,politically, economically, academically and otherwise.
  • Otherwise in terms of what?
  • what u can ever think of concerning our nation Nigeria and our so-called leaders.
  • leaders who are constantly being pulled down from their ill-gotten pedestals by our not-so-god-forsaken judiciary...lol.... speaking of which, i'm not too sure about adams oshiomole, he looks like someone who would abuse power.
  • power that was given to him by his people. how can he? at least he has been able to perform while he was boss of NLC. let us wait and see what will become of his tenure
  • tenure of gr8 success dats wot i c. d man will definitely perform. he has done it b4 in NLC so he will surely do it again as d governor
  • tenure productivity is relative.... he had a freaking hummer 2 when he was nlc boss... how did he get 18m to buy that?,.....please oh, dont let anyone using "our" to chop money oh.... all i'm saying is let us be very careful...
  • careful about the governor for the blind innit? cos the last time i checked these same people gave their votes to those who bought the rights off them with fake promises and some linger ling change to fill their stomach for the day....its all politics, who knows he might want to play an obama movie with an obasanjo script...
  • script that is not well written and is filled with a lot of maybes and how tos with no grip to it. what he needs is to re-write the script so ho no go make the same mistake........................
  • mistake my foot! Any act of corruption is pre-meditated and should never be categorised as an error.
  • error correction is the main message of his campaign... i think we should just watch and see... he has already sacked almost every body from the osunbor regime.... thats an almost complete purging.... i think its getting interesting by the day...

    by the way, did y'all hear about the ship-napping?...lol... this pirates no dey fear again!
  • again let us remember that for him the day has just begun and is getting better as go on. all he needs is the grace to do the right thing not just purging. if you purge and continue to eat the same bad food u go return to where u left off.
  • off am about to go!.............i hate this thread
  • thread where all the members are sharing their ideas, views and observations concerning our nations problems and the way out.
  • out of the lame and into the new for a better tomorrow
  • tomorrow of this blessed country is bright and great , no matter what we might be passing through now. i strongly believe that whats ahead is better than whats behind.
  • behind every successful man, there's a good woman... just felt like saying that!...<!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
  • that is what i keep saying! Nigeria is in need of putting power in the hands of women. let us drive for a while and see how much faster Nigeria will grow.
  • grow my "yansh"
  • i'm just kidding with the last post oh... i know it'll be hard to start a "decent" post with the word yansh starting, so i'd change it to this:

    grow what part? what do you think a woman can do that a man cannot, and has not already taught of! Its all in the person oh, otherwise if the wrong woman (Patience Etete) gets into power, she would ridicle the woman-power all of you have been shouting for.

    My point... get an intelligent person, male or female, and your job would be done! So far, we haven't seen any reasonable intelligent woman run for presidency or even governorship, all we see are wifes, sisters, daughters of elder statemen (who have served their own term), or we see ladies who have done "our party" all the way to the top, with not an iota of experience or record of what they have done or can do!
  • do it perfectly and excellently like dora akunyili and others tthat obasanjo gave an opportunity.if not obasanjo that believed in women and gave them opportunity no man will ever believe in his wildest dream that women can handle any polital post well.
  • do it perfectly and excellently like Dora Akunyili and others that Obasanjo gave an opportunity.If not for obasanjo that believed in women and gave them opportunity no man will ever believe in his wildest dream that women can handle any political post well.But to everybody's greatest surprise they delivered and still delivering, OBJ u tried in that aspect and women appreciated.
  • appreciated from their kitchens to the hall ways of the stock exchange house.....what else can i say power to the women?
  • women of substance that are making us proud, it does not really matter whether they appreciated it from kitchen to stock exchange. Most important thing is that they delivered. <!-- s:-D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":-D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:-D --> <!-- s:-D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":-D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:-D --> <!-- s:-D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":-D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:-D --> <!-- s:-D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":-D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:-D --> <!-- s:-D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":-D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:-D --> <!-- s:-D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":-D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:-D --> <!-- s:-D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":-D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:-D -->
