I am coming to Nigeria, but I want to transfer into an instution and get a degree. so I need you all to help me, as I don't know the process, on which level will the university put me in. Pls advice me, giv me contacts, who u know. I will really appreciate everything, every help, you brothers and sisters can do for me. Thn you.

You can reach me on tobi52002@yahoo.com. I will be expecting your favorable response, Thank You.

• Tobi, where are you and why on earth would you want to come study in Nigeria? Do you listen at all? Well, as far as I know, no university(federal and state, with the exception of the private ones) take transfer student. there are too many admission processes here and many still aren't given a place...there's UME, pre degree, diploma, distance learning, cesap, foundation program, direct entry...schools would rather admit their own into full time, your hnd naturally should get you into 2nd or 3rd yr for a degree course depending on your course of choice but the reality is this is barely done...you really need some tall and long legs to get by. Good luck and beware of fraudsters.

ok, if you really wanna come to nigeria and get a direct entry, with your HND from banjul, you'd probably get a 3rd year entry into a four year course. You should look at getting admission into a school in the west/south, because they are more liberal. but whatever you wanna do, send me a PM later.
• Thanks a lot Fola, Please many more people should pls advice as I don't want to made mistake
• more than welcome!!
• big bros fola....wetin u dey feel like?
• i dey feel like obasanjo (when he was in power oh)...lol...not the retired, disgraced one.... (painful but true!)
• you better men i need your number again changed phone..please
• na lie... you sold your phone to add to your transport from benin republic after having Mad Fun!!!! lol.... i'd hit you up on the PM
• LOL......thanks men
• Hey you guys are such a crack. where did heck do u hook up. anyway, thanks fro every posting to my question.
anyway, can someone gist me about the latest naja
• You probably have made up your mind about coming to Nigeria to study further, I can only wish you the very best of luck, if you can afford to, a private university will do you right...you will get admitted easily and you'd escape strike except they have age limit ...if you're over 23, the chances are thin. Good luck anyways, long legs get cut off at their most hr of need...wouldn't do it unless it's the real thing.
• @mina, y are you mad that he's coming home to study do you have a problem with that?...............everyday i see alot of nigerians who travel out to study and one way or the other they drop out to start working though most of them had it planned but not all of them.......why do you think he cant become what he wants to become? everybody knows its crazy down here even if anything happens (which i pray it doesn't) he can still be with people like him and not ending up being treated as a second class citizen (foreigner), being denied of every opportunity he has to make it........outside good, outside good, people wey dey here don die finish.....the sky is bigger than land so is the opportunity in abundance in Nigeria...unless you don't know anybody......engineers dey work for bank, na mechanic no go work for chinese cuisine......NAIJA FOR LIFE MEN (gal) but i must do my vacation out there sha!
• @ tobi
well u ve ur reasons 4 comin back 2 nija 2 continue ur studies. sori i cant give u any link. but wot i wud advice u is dat u shudn't opt 4 a private school. though its easier 2 get in n ure sure 2 finish at d right time, its not a gud choice. i finishe 4rm 1 myself so i no wot am tukin about. it wud b beta 2 com down ursef 2 find out. a federal sch will do but u still ve 2 com over. u cud log on 2 deir sites 2 get info. wish u all best
• Doni, pls I will appreciate it more if you can tell me why u think private wouldn't do good. pls elaborate. pls if u can hep me with their link too. i mean their websites. pls i need your assistance. pls, i just don't want to come and be dissapointed.
• @ tobi
as per private sch, its a mata of choice, but 4 me private schs re just like advance sec sch. dey ve not rili attained higher academic status. most of deirs courses ve not bin accredited, dey lack gud lecturers n most of dese lecturers re contract staff. sm organisations dont accept graduates of private universities. i can go on n on but rili dont want 2 discourage any1.
as per d websites, ve sm 4 u which include:
federal universities:

• hey,
its good to want to come home and with a discipline like marketing! you have a leg in already. all i have to say is you need to beleive in yourself and what you want to do you. as long as it feels right and you have prayed about it. then go ahead. nigeria is no longer as bad as it is painted.
i am rooting for you; but i want to agree with fola? that a school in the west/south is better. at least here schooling is not too expensive.
• frannkly speaking, i would actually just vouch for unilag and covenant university... only problem is that Covenant does not accecpt transfer! So you'd have to start from year 1
• fola,
what do you do for a living? i would like to know.

• @ mina, over here or over there school is not easy, bone all the yans bout good educational system, over here he can excel with little or nothing but over there standards are kept to fully attain the best......... if he decides here is good for him then thats his choice but cutting him out with the negativity of our educational system, is another thing entirely. sorry if i came at you like that but i only wanted to make him know this place our country is not as bad as it seems...........(though its worst than some country we'd prefer to be born in)
