I watch only Nigerian TV programs that are worth it. I don't watch everything because there are some that actually spoil my mood like "Stupid(super) Story" and "Next movie trash(star)".

There are also some programs that I watch once in a while not because I don't like them but because I am a very busy person. These are programs like "Edge of paradise" and "Wetin Dey". I wonder if they still do wetin dey though.

Overall, I prefer Nigerian TV shows over foreign ones anyday anytime because they reflect what happens around me better and this is what pleases and there is a connection between me and the program. God knows I hate Mexican telenovellas.

As for the ratings you have mentioned, that is the best suggestion I have heard in a year targetted towards improving our TV production. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

i can accomadate nigerian soaps n programs but 4 nigerian movies, dat i cant stand. our problem is how 2 make quick money not how 2 make quality programs n movies. i rili dont no how we can solve dis problem but lets hope dat if we start ratin dem, it will give dem the needed boost

you that you're condemning people's hard work, what have you done? can you act "shit"? or direct half of the "rubbish" that they are directing? have you seen any bank give any home video maker loan? capital is needed for this "rubbishes" to be done, rent is paid for the equipments that are used (that explains the 3-days films), and worse still actors are not properly trained, they are either secondary school graduates who are tired of writting jamb, or they are hungry dudes who feel "i get talent"...

not saying what we do can be compared, but lets be easy with our criticism.

but just for the fun of it, tell US what part of the system you been into, and 'GIRL' dont try to make up stuffs because i swear on anything i can, i would look for whatever production your talking about and confirm you were a part.

Guy i've been into the system and i know what i'm talking about,most of the producers and directors cannot do beyond their knowledge because they have little or no idea of what they are into. they didn't get formal education about it, no proper training, skills and techniques, they are there just to make money because everybody wants to belong. SO WHEN I SAY THEY PRODUCE SHIT AND DIRECT RUBBISH , I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

now gal i will tell you, you are right to some extent but i must say who did you work with and what part did you play in the industry? b4 you criticize............... i used to do the same until someone asked me what have i done (just as fola did). since then i have been working and i found out that alot of peeps are out there doing a good work but most of their works are not screened here either cos of piracy and poor distribution, now some people have been making good movies but maybe becos they're still on digital you think they ain't doing a good job.....i bet you things have changed now, don't give up on your dream (if that's your dream, abi na condition make you sef go join that time) see our music videos (don't mean the ones done outside like Psquare and co) they're making progress and even peeps from SA don they fear us........believe, if we give a voice about their performances by rating them they may change..it's all about recognition...we can rate them here if we have print and electronic media partners or friends.....who could pass their ratings from here to the public (believe people listen more to these guys than just having to shout your lungs out from here and it might even create more awareness to this site too).....we rate and the media gives out the info....if the media knows the size of our membership here and the commitment then they can use it as a base to what Nigerians think about the subject...........i hope say i make sense
