PLEASE LETS STOP BEATING UP NOLLYWOOD ACTORS/ACTRESSES
  • I felt so bad when i was reading through the pages of SUN News Paper of Thursday, December 4th,2008.The story about the inhuman treatment giving to Our Dear Enebili Elebuwa of the Nolly wood Fame, by One Dike in Lagos. For goodness sake what could He have done to deserve such treatment. This Man apart from being old enough to Father the Dike of a guy, is one of the mirrors through which the world see our country.
This people, we are supposed to celebrate them and accord them respect, not beat and humiliat them. That was the same way some few years back a conductor slapped our Genny on the street.
The heigth to which some people are taking laws into their hands is so outrageous. Now what do we do to save 62 year old actor who has brought so much entertainment to our homes from going blind?Due to an impatient, rude and self centered brother Dike, who thinks that because He sells cars to politicians,He can go about making people blind.Something has to be done to that Dike,to serve as warning and to put a check to this rude treatment on our Nolly wood stars; if not one day we would wake up to see that all of them have been turned blind and even crippled :(
  • That shows u how cultured and mannered that dike of a guy is. Thats how he goes about beating his father and his grand father, bringing curse upon himself and his generation.
May God deliver him cos i believe he is highly possess. PRODIGAL SON
  • Well, thats another case of lawlessness in the highest order. What more can I say?
  • their's more. you could add that some people do not have respect for elders.
  • This type of people 4get to understand that one will b measured as he/she measures others.
  • I wish someone would rise up and show dis Dike that there is limit 2 freedom. To serve as an exampe to others.Ejike Asiegbu AGN president should rise up and do something if not he will be the next 2 be beaten blue-black.Am not saying they too should take laws into their hands.Let justice be done on behalf of dis man so that when next someone has opportunity to beat an Actor/Actress,he or (S)he would have a second thought. :(
  • What has happened to people who stood up to defend public interest like RIbadu and that customs officer that caught Charles Taylor?

    They are being humiliated today.

Its not that people do not want to rise up, its just that you'll most certainly regret ever challenging the powers that be in the Nigerian society at the end of the day.
  • Exactly and its too bad. :(
  • yeah like too bad........where are the super heroes abi?.......heroes are limited to one thing and some times when bad things happens we don't get a hero cos maybe that time he's busy playing human
  • Nigeria needs a hero.Just one will be enough to make a change on a large scale. But when that Hero comes how will he be treated by the same people who needed his service.Look out how a great man like Ribadu was crucified and for what? For bringing to book our corrupt, self centered leaders. It's a pity.May God help this country.

    Amen o, my brother.

But we cannot keep waiting for God. God did not descend to help countries like India and Malaysia to get to where they are today. He has already provided us with all we need. What we need to do now is take control of our destiny.

By the way, nice avatar you've got there.
  • pls stop crying wolf, it is not limited to Nigeria. It goes with the business. In hollywood, celebrities hire bodyguards to protect them, but that does not prevent some from sneaking a punch or too when an oppurtunity presents itself. just some few weeks ago, Leona Lewis received a nice punch on the face as she was signing autographs. That is the bane celebrities have to live with. A small atonement for all the dough they are getting.

PS. Berlusconi also received his christmas gift few days back
  • If it is Berlusconi, he actually deserves those kinds of christmas gifts.

But then, celebrity will have to live with it as you said.
  • so becos i popular na make everybody come dey beat me?..........guys think your words well, why you no go slap pastor Chris......he's popular
  • i am not sanctioning violence against anybody. merely stating the reality
  • so what point r u making murtala? anyway sha welcome back after a very long break
