You have a point Kayode.

But this is not about not being broad minded.
Nigerians are taking this thing too far
Like we have no business raising funds for obama
when there are poor people on the street and no one even thought of a fund raising dinner for them.

We need to set our priorities in the right order as a Nation.
I still insist. Nigerians have no business meddling in the affair of Americans
Especially this election

hey kay, u are new huh? i love ur motto; I love my country - Nigeria and I want the best for the citizens. Unfortunately, we have always been unlucky to have leaders who are unprepared, visionless, narrow-minded and who lack depth.

Thank u all for your comments. I dont support the idea of raising funds in Nigeria for American elections but we are entitled to our feelings and emotions on issues that may affect us. Whether we like it or not, a Bush-like leader in America in the next dispensation will be bad for us in this clime. No to any cowboy or trigger happy leader in America for another 4 or 8 years.

Note: i am not saying that we should not be intrested, but we shouldn't put them above us.

You see, you guys are getting me wrong. I'm not saying you shouldn't vote for Obama. I'm just trying to point out that let stop being somehow. I mean, Obama talks very well, speak nicely. nope. You take a look on their policies, not just o how they talk. I wouldn't be surprise if Obama becomes the worst president in the history of Amerca and I wouldn't also be suprise if he is the best in the american history....

What makes us think that if Obama enters, he will change the white house. If you have been following closely the hsitory of the white house, you will know white is the same yesterday, today and foerever.
and the funniest thing is most of us including americans blame President Bush for the economy failure. If one is is following the economy about 15 years ago, you will know its going to fall. We even say the war in iraq also contributed to the downfall. do we know that in all this war, iit has never exceed 15percet of the national budget. so let forget it that the war cause it. no, that is an understatement.
Obama or Mccain aside, as Robert Gates said it, there are somethings, no matter who the next president is, it can never change. Obama want the troop home by next year early, but that can never happens. he himself knows but as we all know to entertai our voters. don't get me wrong. Obama will make a good president. but let stop being around, let face the truth and know it. Noone can change white house, if anyone try to change it, must be read to die. white or black, racism put aside.
its is the fact. its is the truth.

So, you really think 15% of the United States national budget is chicken feed?

This annoying financial crisis would have been averted if they tackled their subprime crisis in the first place. But instead, President Bush prefers pumping money into buying missiles to blow up peasants with in Iraq.
